The world has changed rapidly and many find themselves in a bind due to a failure to understand one another in international relations. Some people, like world famous investor Jim Rogers, seems to know how to roll with the times. Mr. Jim Rogers has long been curious about cultural differences. Back in 1988, a young and brash American boy spent 36 days on his motorcycle, traveling from Shanghai to Pakistan. He had his long ride filmed and the journey gave him a firsthand experience with China that was then very remote to the western world, especially to the U.S. Later on, his two daughters settled down in Singapore and both of them learned speaking Mandarin well. Earlier, CGTN’s Tian Wei spoke to Mr. Rogers and his elder daughter Happy Rogers, who is quite a celebrity in Chinese social media. Their conversation went from relations between China and the U.S. to cultural exchanges.
